Naomi's Wall-E Cake & Presents!

Wall-E cake was what the girl wanted, and red with M&Ms! So that's what she got!

Thanks to Daddy for the great artwork and Mommy for the quick baking, the party went very smoothly.

Tori's Snow Man

We really did have snow! Enough snow, even after melting some on the second day, for Tori to make a snowman. She worked really hard and did particularly well considering she's never made one before! :) She stuck with it and had a masterpiece decorated with M&Ms for the face when she was done.

An Amish Christmas?

Not exactly Amish...but we did have fun in Lancaster, PA visiting Grandmom and Grandad, Nathan and Ann, Jason and Laurie and of course, little Ella!

The girls loved visiting Granny and PopPop during our trip to PA. It was fun sharing pictures and funny stories.

Family Christmas Celebration

CHRISTMAS COOKIES

We had a fun time celebrating Christmas with the girls by opening a few gifts, making cookies, stamping Christmas cards and making picture ornaments.

PRESENTS

Sydni loved hew new books and Littlest Pet Shop toys but was very, very tired after all this fun!

Tori loved her spy kit with secret messaging pen, spy glasses and periscope.

Kayli loved her new cobalt blue Nintendo DS that she was not expecting!

Naomi loved her new baby that she named "Seeba" and her new doll stroller!

The girls especially liked the clue game we play with their biggest presents. We always wait until everything has been opened and then they discover their first clue!

They find a "clue" on the tree leading them another mystery location in the house just to find another clue to the next location and so on. We really stumped them this year with a few and they had a great time trying to figure it out. The final destination is where their biggest surprise is for that Christmas.

Here's a sample of what the clue were for this year:

Clue #1 – (elephant statue) - Sydni

They’re far from their home

Not much room for them to roam.

Good thing they live higher,

Nice and safe, away from the fire.

Clue #2 – (game closet) - Tori

Have an APPLE or some CANDY,

It’s more fun to share with family,

These treats come on a board or a card,

I hope this CLUE is not too hard.

Clue#3 – (garage: on a bike) - kayli

Every morning when it’s almost 8,

Pack up and don’t be late,

Mount up and hold on tight

Make sure to look left and right.

Clue#4 – (baby’s crib) - sydni

Shhhh, this is where someone new will be,

Tucked Under a blanket with her teddy

She’will be here when we turn off the light

Safe and warm to sleep at night.

Kayli's Winter Chorus Concert

Back in December, Kayli entertained the whole family and several hundred other parents with a few songs in her school chorus. She was the most cheerful looking person on the stage and most of the kids looked so scared to be up there that I was surprised to hear as much singing as we did that night! Kayli's stage presence is so natural and we're so excited to see what she'll do in the years to come! We're so proud of her!

Kayli is on the left in the light blue shirt (second row) and her best friend and next door neighbor, Monique, is on the right in the darker blue shirt (third row).

Nap Time or Nest Time?

Yes, this is Naomi's empty bed at naptime...but look closely!

Here she is finally asleep at the side of the bed like a little squirrel on top of a pile of blankets, pillows and stuffed animals!

This is what she's supposed to look like at naptime
(after Mommy put her and her little nest back onto the bed!)

First Tattoo at Age 2!

Thank you Nonny for the fun Hello Kitty tattoos! Naomi loved them!

Happy 2nd Birthday Naomi!

Our little girlie is now playing the role of a two-year-old and no one has to tell her how to act the part! She's already been rehearsing for a few weeks and she is now in her element at times including full-blown temper tantrums, flashing her tongue at whomever she is displeased, and hitting a sister or two just for kicks. She is still the little sweetie she used to be but with much flair and testing. We have high hopes that we'll make it through this stage, once again, and still have enough gumption in us to do it all over again in two years! :)

Thanks Grandma and Pa, for this nice little birthday surprise! Naomi loved opening the gifts the best and had lots of help too.

Snow Day...Days?!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! And it did!! We had so much fun and have had our snow fix for the year. The fun continued on the next day as well with a second school snow day! The girls were loving the 5 days off in a row and the unusual chilly playtime outside.

Interestingly, with a foot of snow here in NC every business, church and school closes without a second thought yet in NY people are trudging off to work and school with the same amount or even more accumulation!

Whats even more hilarious is that the day AFTER it snowed the kids still had another snowday!

Okay, now with the 2nd day after the snow fall (with no extra precipitation of any kind and in fact a moderate increase in temperature causing the snow to melt) this is getting to be ridiculous: The kids now have a 2 hour delay for school tomorrow!! PLEASE Wake County Schools, we, the parents, beg the school to begin normal operations again!! Winter break is over! :)

Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful time opening gifts sent by Greya this year! Thanks to Grandma and Pa, they were delivered and enjoyed by all the girls. We love you all and thank you very much!
